At Robert W. Brown, Jr. and Associates P.C., we recognize that whether
you are arrested for a minor traffic violation, a DUI, or other more
serious misdemeanor or felony offenses, the experience can dramatically
impact your life, your family and your job, both financially and emotionally.
Our practice is devoted entirely to representing and protecting the
rights of those who have been arrestedwe simply don’t
practice any other type of law.
Involvement in the criminal justice system can be a stressful and
intimidating experience. The possibility of going to jail, paying
a large fine, and having a criminal record for the rest of your life
demands that you choose an experienced, skillful attorney to represent
you. While criminal law in Illinois may
be uniform throughout the state, missing the subtle differences between
Cook, DuPage, McHenry and Lake County
courts may be devastating for the uninformed
and under-represented client.
Protect your rights and freedom with a former prosecutor
who knows the system.
Mr. Brown brings more than twenty-five years of experience
to the table, first as an Assistant State’s Attorney, Felony
Trial Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office
and then as Deputy Chief of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s
Office in Waukegan. During his tenure as a prosecutor, his extensive
trial experience included handling the trials of many murder, sexual
assault, robbery, possession and delivery of controlled substances,
reckless homicide cases, and numerous other criminal matters. He supervised Assistant State’s
Attorneys assigned to the criminal division of that office, advised
police departments on a countywide basis, presented matters before
the Lake County Grand Jury, prosecuted cases presented by federal
law enforcement agencies, and was responsible for the creation of
the present day Felony Review Division.
As a defense attorney, Mr. Brown has successfully tried to verdict or negotiated
thousands of similar criminal, juvenile and traffic cases, as well as successfully
arguing cases in the Second Appellate District and before the Illinois Supreme
Court. Wouldn ’t you rather be represented by a lawyer who has served
as both prosecutor and defense attorney? Knowing how the system works can be
crucial to your defense.
